About Us

Paul B Kelly, MD, FACS
Our Philosophy
Our passion is to reduce falls. Falls are a challenging and increasing public health problem that needs our immediate attention. However, we also understand that no device, video, or Powerpoint presentation can "prevent" falls -- only YOU can prevent falls by educating yourself and creating the circumstances to provide timely intervention.
FallSaver was invented by a physician who was concerned about the unobserved falls occurring in the hospital environment, and the failure of all existing fall avoidance devices. We believe falls can be best avoided by reliably predicting recognized high-fall-risk behavior and quickly intervening before injury occurs.
Our Inventor and Chief Medical Officer
Paul B. Kelly, Jr. MD, FACS, Chief Medical Officer and inventor of FallSaver, also invented the CellSaver® Autologous Blood Recovery System currently marketed by Haemonetics. Jeff Simmons and Don Schoendorfer are the engineers who reduced the invention to practice and are included on the FallSaver patent.
A retired cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Kelly lives in Sacramento. He is a graduate of Stanford University and McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Kelly's lifetime achievements were recognized with the Golden Stethoscope award in 2006.
